Moving the Obamacare goalposts - again...
Moving the Goalposts on Obamacare
Are you ready for Thanksg...er...Turkey Day?"The system will not work perfectly on Dec. 1, but it will work much better than it did in October," CMS spokesperson Julie Bataille said. The Hill describes the call as an effort to "downplay expectations."
(snip)
Nationwide about 5 million people have been dropped. So when Klein writes "If they got 4 million to sign up, success would mean making sure 1.5 million were young and healthy" he's missing the forest for the trees. If only 4 million sign up the law has arguably done more harm than good. Good luck convincing people that's "okay."
There's a reason why the President's supporters at OFA are trying to turn Thanksgiving into a timeshare seminar for Obamacare. The total number of enrollees does matter and right now it's looking like it could be much lower than predicted. That's why the screeching sound of goalposts being moved is in the air today.
Re: Moving the Obamacare goalposts - again...
looks like we're doing better than the O care website now. Not that it would take much. Any other problems let me know,K?Question:do you think we should put up separate categories for each state or just leave each person post up their own state under new topic?
Re: Moving the Obamacare goalposts - again...
I think a new topic under each state would be best. Just MHO.
Re: Moving the Obamacare goalposts - again...
k. will stick with plan A. If people say something and think the other way would be better we can always switch to plan B. i kinda like it as is too.
Re: Moving the Obamacare goalposts - again...
I have empathy for those that have been dropped and have difficulty with the exchanges as they hussle to find health coverage before the first of the year. There are people out there receiving medical treatments that can not afford to have that treatment interrupted. What about the people that are already sick, how are they going to spend hours online with glitchy health exchange website? ridiculous.

The mantra for the socialistic liberal is, "For the greater good."
There are health conditions, such as cancer, that are so complex in the way that they affect the body that they require unique treatment. Now, those patients are finding out that their physician and treatment won't be available in the Obamacare plan they've been forced into, mostly because of higher premiums.
The idea that a sixty year old with pancreatic cancer can be forced away from a "junk" plan that addressed his/her needs, and forced into a "quality" plan that mandates juvenile dental or maternity benefits is simply insane.
Most of the people in Washington who spec'd this out and manage it probably can't even set the clock on their VCR let alone understand the complexities of designing policies and coverages for a workable healthcare system.
