Problems with Posting?
if anyone has a problem w/ posting-or other problems for that matter-pls get in touch via the private messaging if you can't get in touch with me here. I'll respond pronto!
Re: Problems with Posting?
Here's an exchange of PMs I've had with an invitee from ConservativeUnderground. Can you see what can be done?

Signed up. Cant log in. It was supposed to send an email confirmation the other day. Have heard nothing. Too bad.
I realize that phpBB is bare-bones software, and there's bound to be holes here and there. I expect more work-arounds than real fixes.Janice, don't give up. I emailed the admin about the problem. There's also a problem reporting thread where I'll post this. Rockntractor was also a little put off not being able to post external links for seven days after initial signup.
As I said, I had to use "marv1" instead of "marv" in order to get a uid. Have you tried an alternate uid like I suggested?
Let me know.

Re: Problems with Posting?
for now pls use numbers w/ username as Marv suggested. I'm going to contact the support forum and see what they can tell me. Meanwhile i'll check the settings and see what the problem is with external links.
Re: Problems with Posting?
the confirmation email isn't going to a spam box is it? I just posted the complaints over at the support forum and told them I need help NOW!
My apologies to all the folks for these problems. It's never happened before and not in spades like this. I feel terrible.Don't blame everyone for being frustrated. Think we can get this cured though.

My fault. Overlooked a few things.

Done!support forum wrote:You can try doing the following:
Administration Panel > General > Forum > Security
Find these options:
'Unauthorize members with less than a week registration to post external links and emails' tick 'no'
'Unauthorize subscriptions made with the most commonly used spam usernames' tick 'no'
Then save.
If they still cannot register check the following:
Administration Panel > Users & Groups > Users > Inactive users
Activate any accounts which have not been activated.
If the problem persists you can change how accounts are activated under:
Users > User options
Find 'New accounts activation' tick 'no activation' and save.
